Repanide belongs to a class of drug called meglitinide antidiabetic. It works to lower blood glucose (sugar) by stimulating the release of insulin from the pancreas gland. It is used to treat type 2 (non-insulin-dependent) diabetes in patients who cannot control blood sugar levels by diet and exercise alone.
